Area: Cleveland, Oh yea | One Six vs. Heritage Rough Rider How will the Single-Six stack up against the History Rough-Rider? They both come in a combination 22ll/22wmr deal. The Heritage is about $200 cheaper. I know most folks are going to state the Ruger will be much better, but will anyone have got any encounters with the Customs? I observed in the guide for the History that it provides a loading block instead of the exchange bar for protection. |

Area: Tn | Sodbuster I appreciate Rugers mainly because much as ANY ONE on this forum , i very own six of them and think that they create the best worth in firearms period. Now with that stated i also have some minimal weapons, one of them being a Tough Driver. I bought it a couple of years back ,based on its cost. My son who was after that eight wished to understand to capture, i regarded as a single six, once again i like Ruger's i9000. But i don't appreciate shooting.22's ,in truth they bore the hell out of me. So my selection was very clear a much less expensive revolver, since he will mainly be shooting it. I discovered a quite nice NIB Tough Driver for a charge of $189.00. Since buying it my kid and i have terminated over a 1000 models through it with it displaying extremely little put on. I possess no issues other after that the inexpensive finish its somewhat rough. Therefore to amount it up. my little Rough Rider has been a excellent inexpensive device for my kid, and depending on your anticipation and objective ,it will become good. I'll keep my 357 Dark hawk because when i wish something to proceed BANG it ain't a.22 ! |

Posts: 571 | Sodbuster, There are quality guns and there are cheap guns. You need to determine which greatest fits your intended use, which you didn't condition. If the weapon will end up being one you plan on shooting a great deal and owning for a lengthy time, there is no replacement for high quality. If you just desire something to perform with and aren't worried with design, fit and finish, or functionality, inexpensive will get you by for a even though. Ask yourself: If I were to market the weapon tomorrow, which will provide the highest rate of return? If you can't pay for new, el gavilan offers the right get. In the end, high quality will constantly be the much better choice. |

Area: texas | one six I has been evaluating the same guns for my child last 30 days. I examine every evaluation I could discover on the web and there were a great deal of problems about the rough rider, but everyone seemed to appreciate the single six. My kid is only 11 and I figured he would want to maintain the weapon for a lengthy period, so I figured it had been worth the extra cash to get the better quality weapon. |

Location: NorthEast Washington state | Since this will be a Ruger forum , almost all on here will tell you to get the Ruger. I have never acquired a bit of difficulty from the Tough Driver. If you go to the Rough Rider forum they will tell you they are usually good weapons. If you believe expensive guns are the just good weapons check out out the Sig Sauer discussion boards. They mostly think about Rugers to match in the cheap weapon catagory. So cost is not everythig.I wouldnt component with my Rugers but I will also keep getting enjoyment with my Rough Driver. |

Place: Cleveland, Oh yeah | Main make use of will end up being plinking. I know some look with them or use them to take out varmint. That would end up being a uncommon use unless there had been a rabid raccoon lurking about. In the plinking role it would have a lot of rounds through it. Just like my 10/22 will be my go-to taking pictures gun because of its low price of procedure, this would suit the same part. I believed about a semi-auto.22 pistol, but I like the look and classic ranges of a single-action much better. And it would be more enjoyment to take containers with a wheelgun where you have got to consider a little time between each chance cocking the sludge hammer. |

Location: Calif | I've very own both and possess enjoy capturing them without any troubles. Accuracy has been good with both mainly because considerably as I can shoot. Having said that, I do move the Rough Driver down to my kid when I got the One Six. I find that the SS will be simply a very much more strong firearm in suit and end. For a hit around weapon, I believe the Rough Rider is definitely more than adequate. Final edited by mnh2obuff; Feb 20th, 2010 at04:39 Evening. Cause: spelling |

Place: Cleveland, Oh yeah | How will the barrel or clip thickness do a comparison of between the two? |

Place: Calif | At the muzzle with manual caliper: SS 11/16', RR 11/16'. The SS can be 4.' barrel or clip and the RR can be 6.5', but I wouldn't think would make a difference in the size. I alos like the perfer the transfer pub in the SS over the 4 click on program in the RR. It will be just safer. |

Area: Newark Oh yeah | I almost purchased the Rough Driver but chose to go with the Mark III. I examine a great deal of great evaluations on them. I have chance the Ruger individual six 22 and was not really that fond of it, which is certainly part of the reason I went with the Tag III. The 22 revolvers simply did not really suit my hand plus I desired something that you do not have to insert one at a time. I recognize with frankiestoys that it would be a decent weapon. I went inexpensive with my first gun and bought a Hi Stage. All though it was a decent weapon it was not really what I wanted it to become. So I offered it and bought my P95. |
